I have been called a teacher, mentor and friend by many students and colleagues. I bring experiences from the business world, as well as the public sector and education. I have many areas of experience and professional expertise. These experiences enable me to use many different lenses to view both business and educational issues from various perspectives, as well as helping me to work for church reform.
I have been a lay member of the Marianist Family for most of my adult life. I’ve worked at two Marianist Catholic Universities, and have served as Chairperson of the Women’s Justice Issues team of the Marianist Social Justice Collaborative. I continue to participate in a number of small faith communities.
I currently live in Rock Hill SC and am having trouble identifying with my local parish. The liturgies, the activities and the culture of my parish are very different from my progressive Catholic education. I come to this group in hopes of finding a community that is accepting of new ideas and that sparks my love for diversity and fellowship with many different people.
